The Companion Bible

by Dr. E. W. Bullinger

Of special exegetical value, all Figures of Speech are pointed out; the spiritual significance of Numbers is systematically noted; the principal synonymous words are distinguished, Eastern manners and customs are explained where they throw light upon Scripture, and chronology is dealt with and supported by charts in the Appendix.

The structures of the books are given as a whole and in their parts. These are a most valuable aid to exegesis, and a confirmation of the inspiration of the Word.

The Appendices, 198 in number, contain a large amount of information bearing on the various questions raised by the Sacred Text..
